Series 3 mercedes 605

Hi everyone, it's been a while since last here. I've just bought myself a 1983 swb series 3. It's pretty much a bare shell/rolling chassis. I've decided to install a mercedes 605 engine but was wondering what axles I should use as the only gearbox is have been told is suitable is an auto from a 4.6 range rover. The engine will have around 200bhp so axles/brakes need upgrading.

What's the length of your engine and gearbox combination most people think autobox too long for a SWB.

I'd prefer a manual box but the adapter plate I can get hold of is for an auto. I don't know if there is an adaptor plate available a manual. The engine alone is around 850mm long I think

I put a 300d merc engine in a series 2 swb, i made the conversion plate, using the merc flywheel and the landy clutch plate, went to a whole lot of head scratching and it was ****, woudn't pull skin off a arice pudding
