Hi all, i've got a job on today with a 109 series 3 diesel. The guy has repaced the light stork, as the old one was faulty. Now when you put side lights on, the dip beam comes on aswell, turn it to put dip beam on, and only the side lights come on. Also only one head light is working, after blub repacement. Any ideas guys and girls. I own a disco so don't really have any clue with a proper landy.
cheers alex

Sounds like "the guy" has wired the new switch up wrongly, probably to the wrong terminal on the side/main lighting switch - take it back or sort it yourself. there's a good guide to the dash wiring in the landy official manual.
The missing headlight is probably a duff earth from the headlamp unit if both main and dip are not working.

spent half an hour on it, found that the wiring for the n/s headlight wasn't conected, result. The strange thing is that no matter which i wire the headlamp switch it still works in reverse lol. Anyways the guy is happy just to have working headlamps. Next job for the old girl is that it has blue/white smoke out the exhaust, engine runs lump, and there in a fair amount of oil in the coolant
