Hi all
Well for years I've been saying I'm going to restore a series landy, so I bought one to restore. Well I was the winning bidder.
But something has occurred to me, could this car have been part of the scrappage scheme or been scrapped in the past.
I've tried to hpi check it and it shows no data.
Anyone know of a way for me to get any information??
The reg is GLP943C if anyone has the capacity to check.
Thanks in advance

Slightly concerning that the dvla have no records of it either. They don't keep records prior to when it went electronic in the early 70's,
Which means it was built in 65 and either not registered or unregistered before the early 70's, I'm trying to get the chassis number from the seller so I can call the dvla and try to get more info.
Not sure it's a gamble worth taking but I'll have a think about it

I've had a couple of cars in the past few years that have been taxed and mot'd with a valid v5 where the DVLA website has said 'vehicle not found'. I don't know why but a few seem to skip the net.

You do need to be a bit careful with the DVLA vehicle enquiry site. It shows our Discovery as untaxed and not sorned, with big red warnings. What it does not say is that the vehicle was exported years ago, and is alive and well in mainland Europe. Just because the vehicle does not show does not mean it has been scrapped.
