Good evening folks!

yep, its me again :D

I have finally got time to do a few jobs, preventive more than anything.

just got 4 new air bags, 4 new ride height sensors, 4 new ABS sensors, brake sphere and a few more small things.

now, bags, no problem after readings Keiths how to. sphere not a problem as long as it screws off. ABS sensors no problem, according to RAVE.

now the question.

after removing and fitting the new ride height sensors, do i really need the 100mm blocks that are mentioned? or can i just do it from the nanocom on flat ground and a tape measure?

i have searched but nothing definitive.

i know its been a while since appeared on here, but you notice i never left the best RR forum there is (creeping sod i hear you all say) :D:D:D:D:D

many thanks,

Dave

As the sainted one says you can do it with a measure. Just be prepared to do it slowly with little adjustments each time remembering that altering one corner can have an effect on the others.

Flat ground tape measure and paitience!

Datatek uses a piece of wood with pen marks at the right heights to save all the measuring repeatedly!!
+1. New sensors all round? That's mighty expensive, they are unlikely to all be knackered. The new sensors will most likely work without going into fault mode but will need calibrating to level the car at all heights.

changing all 4 as i have 2 saying out of range :)

got all the measurements from Ants nice drawing that he did a few months ago :D

be starting it in the next hour or so. got the use of the lifts at work to make it a bit easier.

Out of range does not mean they are knackered, it may just mean they have been fed a figure out of the spectrum for any particular height. There are minima and maxima you cannot exceed at each height setting.
