I bought some 130 rear springs for the 110 today as its going to be towing alot.
I have been told to remove the self leveller as fitting heavy duty springs will make the ride awful leaving the unit in place...can anyone confirm?

cheers

I can confirm that is correct. It makes it rock solid. On the plus side it makes power sliding yer landy on a roundabout much easier.:p

cheers Ratty...ooh gooood..always wanted to drift a Landy!

With HD springs and the rear leveller fitted I had to use a 6" drop plate attached to the dixon and bate drop hitch which was on the lowest setting just to get the front wheels on my twin axle caravan to touch the ground.

I had 2 engines in the back at one point (a 300tdi and a vauxhall astra gsi engine, both with all the ancillaries fitted) and the ride height never dropped.

i will second that lol mines in the skip at work, still bloody hard on the backend tho :)

I learnt by my mistakes anorl. I fitted a set of 130 helper springs inside my rear standard springs. The ride is still nice and soft but the lean when cornering has been dramatically reduced. I'd like to test it with the setup I have now but with a self levelr fitted just to compare.
