Hello everyone, this is my first post here.
I registered because this seems a good place to discuss all things Land Rover, being UK based and active.

I have a LR Defender 90 TD5, i think it's 90 anyway. 90 is the size yes?
Anyway, i need to get some parts, 2 seat belts at least. My dogs chewed them, go figure.
I'm Portuguese and the 'beast' :D was bought here, in case it's pertinent.

Should i get official stuff, or something like this would work? How do i know it's good and respects regulations. Where would i get seat belts, Land Rover only or 3'rd party parts work?

As you can guess, i'm not that knowledgeable regarding cars, let alone Defender, though i'm not completely clueless. I hope someone here can help me out.

TIA

:welcome2:

A 90 is indeed the length of the chassis, although more accurately its 92 inches or thereabouts.

Seatbelts etc you can buy from many online shops...just 'google' land rover parts and see what you get, i'm not going to recommend or not recommend anyone, theres plenty of good and bad reports on them all. I buy from ebay too and i live in denmark and just get a postage cost in advance, never had any problems...

Rules and regulations are different in every country...i have no idea about portugal, you'd best find a land rover club...or start one!!

Enjoy the forum..Mark

Thank you both for your help, i really appreciate it.
I'm going to dig a bit more, knowing that this is a normal $saving activity ;D

Do you guys think car safety regulations differ that much across Europe?

spain was great, the police stop you if you drive too slow and then offer you a beer and a night with their sister, in italy their cars have 1 forward gear and 5 reverse just like their military tanks....
