A 2a recently came into our lives and we’ve spent last few weeks getting to know it..
Could anyone give me some advice regarding the front seats. Its the deluxe ones.
They are hinged with one bolt each side, and the backs sit against the bulkhead, but when missus slides seat forward the back doesn’t follow. What’s the best way to secure the backs to bottoms? Is they’re any way to do it, so the backs can be adjusted?
Cheers!

I do not think there is anyway to get the back to move with the base as on a swb it has no support of its own. It rests against the bulkhead for support.

My LWB had a moveable drivers seat base and fixed mid and passenger seats. Obviouly in compliance with established LR practice we adust our bodies to fit the Series. The drivers seat back rests on the bulkhead to its a trade off between angle and leg room. Our solultion is to have a few old cushions handy for "running adjustments" that can be stuffed behind smaller passengers (or used to hit those that talk too much). The other solution we have found is to stuff a lot of the useless junk we carry (see tools thread) behind the seats. As its an ex mil the fillers are under the seats so they have to come out to fill the tanks so our scope is very limited.

Good stuff. Cushions behind seat was route I was going. Was interested to see if something was wrong or missing from our seats, obviously not. Thanks

I forgot, my set up is one "de-lux" seat back for the driver and standard ones for the mid and passenger but these are low and when we have the load screen in its easy to bump your head so I have fitted to head rests. I got these off e-bay, they ae quite small and have the usual two rods. I ran these down inside the seatback and fixed them with "p" clips. They make the seats quite a bit nicer. The other mod I want to do is get some 1/2" high density foam and add a layer inside the drivers seat base as the foam bottoms out over large bumps.
