Scavenging my old freelander

So my 5 door 04 td4 has died, i have just bought a 3 door 05. My old car had all extras like heated leather seats, door cards with window controls and steering wheel stalk for stereo as well as a few other bits.

Is it feasible to swap it over to new model as both facelift. And is the wiring likely to be in place?

Seats will be different,( i.e. don’t fold forwards etc.) as will the doorcards. But most other bits will be be the same.

Cheers, planning to remove back seats and board out to use as more of a van back, so not in need of folding seats. Shame about door cards though like all the button for windows.

Why not just use the 3 door parts to fix the 5 door. Although that won't work if you want a commercial.

It would be technically possible to fit window switches to the door, if you could make up the arm rest. However it would also need wiring as no 3 door had window switches on the door card.

Turbo seals gone and pulled oil through engine. Also taking out a piston in the process.
Also fairly high milage and few dings on bodywork. New one is immaculate with low mileage.

Also tow a lot for work so needed something ready to go by tuesday. Without access to ramp dont think i could of got jobs done in time.

Just out of interest but do the back seats from a 5 door fit in to a 3 door ?

The 3 door fit in the 5 door. Not sure about the other way round, but look the same.

Converting mine to 2 seater so going to flog the ones from my 5 door.

Going well so far.
I now have heated leather seats, 6 cd changer and stereo with steering wheel buttons and a near new back box.

What i did not realise in my rush to buy a car is that the new one has had prop shaft removed to make it front wheel drive. So tommorows job is to convert it back.

Hopefully the propshafts weren't removed because the IRD was goosed.
