Anyway Right I'm booked up until Wednesday collecting stuff from Ebay but it's all the wrong way. Sible are you coming to the pub meet? Wednesday If so bring the door and I can take it down one eve when the Mrs is working.

Fair point. Ashcroft won't do it unless its like for like I suppose.

Can you not swap the turrets out on a R380?

i believe yu can swap disco and deepender lever mech, but its not easy, so i bin told. I think there is a writeup on here if yu can find it .

Aint the bellhousing and input shaft different? I thought the usual trick was to mount the injun further forward?

There was somthing about you need to swap somthing over on the selectors I thought that was on an LT77 quite possible its the same on an R380. Still weak gearboxes. LT77 is no stronger than a Series box. I do like Rangy 4 speeds! Looking into making a series trannybox fit one because that would be really nice.

selector shaft

you cant swap tops on r380 from disco to defender as selector shaft is different length to account disco yoke and defender quadrant ,some have made special adapters but not easy without tooling, i can swap shafts if it helps someone not a long job and lt77 def top can be used on r380

I have seen that before an LT77 defender top on an R380. I think the guy come over to borrow the lathe but I was not involved was busy doing other stuff.
