I have a couple of days free (sun and mon) if you are still keen?

Offer is open to everyone of course- any takers?

Start on the A36, IVO Knook and finish near CC1/ Bulford

As it's Christmas, I was hoping to post something rather more jolly, but there have been some reports of a serious incident last night on Salisbury Plain.
Details are scarce, yet it appears that the recovery of a stuck vehicle went badly wrong and somebody suffered life changing injuries involving what is believed to be a loss of a lower limb.
Please, please ensure that any recovery points fitted to your vehicle are up to the task and are secured by solid metal...not rust, don't go blindly attaching a kinetic rope or winch cable just anywhere without checking and double checking the security of attachment to BOTH vehicles.
I hope that whoever was involved is making some progress with their injuries, it could easily have been a fatality.

I’ve heard there was an incident during a recovery procedure but not the exact details. Sorry to hear about this.

Easily done. A lot of forces involved.

grapevine is suggesting a KERRS rope and attaching to a point on the axle ?? led to loss of lower limb. But no other details have been forthcoming.

Cheers

best wishes to the person injured and his/ her family.
a quote i will always remember from the late Steven hawking.
In our great universe.. if it can happen it will happen.
so double check and more.
