Hi all....I have a S3 and I fitted a 2a wire mesh grill to it years ago...just dont like the plastic grill.
I just use big headed self tapping screws to hold it on.

Going to be renovated the grill panel soon...needs a new bottom repair section.
When I am at it I would like to see if I can get hold of the correct 2a grill fixings...no idea what they look like.

I wonder could anybody send me a picture of them so I know what to look for.

If anybody know who sell em that would be great.

Nick.

Think he means the T grill but think it would look out of place as the oblong holes on the S3 panel and the old style 2a T grill wouldn't look right, I was thinking of getting two T grills and making a Maltese grill as mine is a late 2a but the p o fitted a S3 grill that's if I can't find one as I've seen Maltese grills going for £1,000 on gay bay

Think yourself lucky. I have a 2a with 3 wings and a 1 front panel.
The grill is 2 but narrowed slightly so it fits between the headlights...................:confused:

Its the same as the grill on the K reg in the picture in the Link...so thats what call a Maltese grill is it?

Gee I had no idea there was any value to these grill....I will be nervous parking it up now.

Just need to see what the lower bracket or mount looks like.

Are they really worth a lot of money???

Are they really worth a lot of money???

I see them going for £80 or more on Fleabay, they were only produced for 3 years or so, so they are one of the rarest grills around hence the price. I imagine back in the 70s and 80s people binned them off and swapped them for the 'modern' plastic one from the S3 so there are even less about now.

There's a pack of 5 on eBay for £720. Not sure anyone has ever paid a grand for one.

second this, I recently bought the same brackets from them to fit a maltese cross grill. For the price it was not worth making my own, but if you wanted to they should be fairly easy to fabricate. This is the thread I had when i was asking the saem question (thread)
