Hi all, new to this forum and a new owner of a Freelander 2 (14 plate). TD4 manual.

Just been having a look over the engine compartment and found a 24mm rubber bush (shock mount?) sitting loose on a shelf to the right of the engine. Part no: 95BB9B929AA. Can't see where it has come from/anywhere obviously missing it.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

David

Googling that PN shows up as an engine mount for a Mondeo, which could well also be used for the FL2 too, or part of it.

GG beat me to it.

Thanks for the replies:) seems to be much too small (and soft) to be an actual engine mount. Nothing appears to be rattling about. It's bugging me though!

Ah although the bush in your pic has '40' on the rim. The one i have is 24. Which appears to be the diameter (24mm) of the hole it pushes in to.

Ahh found it i think. On the Air box mounting:

Which is right next to where i found it. Next question is how easy is this to get to/ check if one is missing!?

Very easy a few photo's below for you to follow takes about 15 minutes to check, maybe also check the air filter at the same time and change it if required. add a little red rubber grease to the rubber inserts or Vaseline if you do not have rubber grease, it will help when you push the air filter casing back into situ
