Up **** creek.
just tried taking my rotor arm off and its stuck solid! they are supposed to pop straight off right?might buy a new one just in case, i didnt want to pull any harder in case something broke. any suggestions?

I believe it's a common problem and u do have be careful as the inside of the dizzi can spring apart. ooooooops.
I tried to pull mine off once just to see if i could, but it was stuck so I didn't bother.

The way to remove the rotor is to chip bit off it so it breaks up acording to info in the various forums..

cheers, so its buy a new one, and carefully butcher the old one being careful not to let bits fall into the dizzy, sounds like fun, i may just leave that one until it actually needs doing., or buy a dremmel......

That's what I say :D

im gonna leave it till it needs doin:) im just going through the haynes 12K/yearly maintenance schedule and trying to do the whole lot, jesus does anyone actually do ALL of the sections, theres 41 of em! (well i can miss out a few earlier model sections) If i do ever get through them before the winter sets in i'll prob keep going until ive done all the way up to the 10 year schedule, its kinda addictive:)

I appreciate this an old thread & whilst I agree that changing the 'arm just for the sake of it is daft, but removing it is the only way to put '3 drops of clean oil' onto the felt pad & in so doing lube the adv/retard mech.
