Hi, I'm currently putting a roof light bar on my 3 door. Looking for some advice on the best was to run the power to it, up the window channel? Through the sunroof or between the hardtop and bodywork? Anyone had any leeks using the last two methods?
I mocked up the light bar with two spots and 4 LED floods.

Not sure if I'm gonna mount bar on top of the rails or take rails off and weld the bar in-between and refit rails.

All suggestions welcome!

Cheers

I took one bolt out of the roof rails and ran my wire through there and it is according to how much power you need as to what wire you will need.
once I had ran it through I put some amalgamating tape on the wire and then pulled the wire down to seal the hole then I put the end cap of the roof bars back on and never get any water in.

That's a great idea!! I take it you just routed the wire down behind the plastic of the windscreen pillar?

Cheers
That's the easiest way to get wires to the roof. The trim comes off in 30 seconds as it's held by clips. Run your live wire down the RH pillar for the shortest route to the fuse box. Take the earth at the roof rail mounting bolt to minimise volts drop. ;)
