Roof for a 90

hi all, newbie question so sorry if it’s been asked before or seems a bit stupid. I have a 1989 90 pick up, it only has a soft top so I’m after a hard top. Are they all interchangeable? What years would fit a 1989?

All will fit
Early cars had the ribs on the outside of the roof and later ones had them on the inside, also called a smooth roof.

Mine only leaks becasue its got a kin sunroof which is a really stupid thing to have in a defender!
