Road Tax

A few weeks back I mentioned I was taxing my rangie. As I get a 50% discount because of the rate of PIP I am on I have to send all my documents and proof of PIP to the DVLA. Usually by now everything has been returned. So this morning I checked online and found not taxed. So tried to phone, they will only speak to you if you are an essential worker. Email was next alas message on web page no one will answer unless you can prove you are an essential worker. Tried their chatbox same response. but there was a link to contact an autoboot. Some how this worked and it connected me to a lovely lady who listened to my problem and told me there was no one in the DVLA offices to process my application at the moment and not to send in my documents. Sorry but they were sent 3 weeks ago What do I do? The only option she could help with was to tax my car for the full rate and arrange for a 50% rebate when they were up and working again. sorry for the long tale but the advice is
if in the same boat as me don't send off your documents but tax your cars online and claim your discount later
