Is it the 2 button type - one button says Land Rover and one has a picture of a key on it - if so best to keep an eye on Ebay and buy a 2nd hand one.

I've got a spare one that I keep for such occasions

Have a look at this on eBay -

I'm watching that one :)

Disco Mikey,

I've got a Hawkeye, which requires the full alpha/numeric code from the barcode on the tag, to enable a key to be programmed to the vehicle.

The Nanocom can program a key from the 6 digit code on the chip.

I don't have the tags with any of my keys or SLS Remote and only two of the keys are programmed to my vehicle :(

I would like to try and work out the relationship between the 6 digit chip code and the barcode alpha/numeric code.

Would you be kind enough to PM me the 6 digit code from the chip and confirm the barcode from the tag (I can just read it from the picture in your listing) so that I can try and work out the relationship between the two and, hopefully, arrive at a way of generating the long code from the short code.

This would not compromise the security of the key you're selling, although I would understand if you are reluctant to do this.

If I could work out the relationship (if any) between the codes, I would post it on all the forums, as this is something lots of people would find very useful with 2nd hand keys or where the tags have been lost or, as in my case, not included with a 2nd hand vehicle.

Thanks,

Paul.
