Me again
I don't think I am allowed to put a wanted add until i have 50+ posts but I desperatly need a 18 inch rim for my disco 2, it came with a 16inch spare with michelin 235/70R16 4x4 new tyre, I could use in emergency as height wise they are roughly the same but I either need to swap for or buy an 18 inch rim with 255/55R18 tyre.
so my question/s is this: A. what wheels will fit, P38? disco 1? erm........
B. am i allowed to post a wanted add?

If it would work in an emergency, why do you desperately need one? ......................:p:p

Post another 9 posts and you can post a wanted ad.

Or go on FB and have a look on there loads of people are breaking D2's.

Cheers

The 50 posts rule was introduced to stop people coming on the forum just to sell their crap.
There is another "Wanted" section on the Anything Goes board. That doesn't have the 50 posts limit.

BTW, wheels off the P38 will fit on the Disco 2. Disco 1 wheels will not fit on the Disco 2.

cheers, i understand the 50 post rule having run forums since 2001 :) and totally respect it
i missed a whole set of 16 inch rims on FB yesterday he skipped about 12 :-(
why desperate for a spare, well sometimes i drive to sussex and back about 600 mile round trip and i have never done this without a spare, i guess i just want to make sure if i get a puncture i can swap them and keep going.

Don't really understand the major problem here as the overall height of the 18" with tyre is 29.04" and the 16" rim with tyre is 28.95"..?

Just to clarify, your talking an overall diameter difference of 2.286mm, which isn't even the slightest amount worth worrying about. ;)

(You may even have a worse offset just from tyre tread alone! lol

Thanks Simon, yes i realised they were about the same over all height and will be ok in an emergency, i just want a spare with same tyre type and size as the spare i have is a square block and the ones on vehicle are grabber at's.
