you can get nato colours in satin as well as mat, have a look at anchor supplies or warpaint. id do a linky thing but no idea how.
im in the same boat matey, cant decide what colour to do mine either.

i could opt for nato green to keep the doris happy, but ive only seen the nato in a matt finish,

I was at a garage a few weeks ago and saw a 110 that had just been sprayed. It looked very good.... maybe too good for a 17 year old. The guy who owned it was selling it and reckoned that Coniston Green was the colour with a white roof. The roof was brilliant white... it looked good but it was too white?
I had a close look at it.... nice paint job but still showed up all the dints and aluminium blisters. This one was originally all white and was just getting the outside done as a quick job:eek:
To me it did not look right.... but as you intend to do a propper job I am sure it will look great:)
You mentioned Nato.... this may help.

colour chart 2

I decided that with all my bumps I would stick with my original colour and I am just finishing off hand painting it for £30.... it really looks okay. Will post pics later. It is worth the extra to get new number plates (ebay)... I bought a set plus a square rear plate. The extra plate can be used on a trailer. I also replaced the rear bottom door seal (on the floor of the body) and the steel plate that goes over it plus new transfares, badges ect (ebay or a Landy show) plus reversing, fog and side lights etc. It finishes it off nicely for an extra £40. Use the theory to your Mrs that if she was painting the lounge she would have to have new curtains as well :)
