Hi all, I need to replace the battery in the above vehicle and according to Rave it should be a 110amp/hr battery; the original spec. being a Delco Freedom unit.

As the std. battery box has the following dimensions: wide 330mm x deep 165mm x 200mm; I'm really struggling to find a battery that has sufficient power but will still physically fit.

They also need to be branded units, so I can find them in France (so not Tayna Batteries and Numax).

Anyone got any suggestions of Make and model number that will fit.

Cheers
Dave

Hi Dave, what i can say about two branded units like Bosch silver and Varta is that they failed on me in less than 3 years both and gave me hard times when there was really cold outside... the most reliable i have had untill now is the Numax C31-1000 Enduroline one(ordered it from UK)... and my charging system is completely faultless... unfortunately i can't tell you more just that from what i know from friends is that the Optima yellow top is brilliant even if it dosnt have 110AH... what ever you choose concentrate on CCA more(to be at least 900) than on AH and to be dedicated car/starting battery

Well I've pretty much decided on an Alphaline 115amp/hr 900cca battery. The diemensions are good the terminal layout also. It is guaranteed for 4 yrs so hopefully it should be OK.

Price in 108€ delivered so not too bad.

Thanks to all who replied.

But isn't that a leisure battery?

It's supposed to be good for both????

To be honest it's been a right minefield trying to find a good battery over here, on the 'net. I had no trouble in the past so I'm not quite sure why it is being soooooooh difficult now.

I'll think on a bit more.

Cheers Fery
