Ive been having some grief with the drivers window channel, Tried to fix it back onto the glass today using sealant but the channel is too far gone i reckon.

The d2 channels come with the glass and aint available on their own, i dont know if a d1 channel will fit these are quite cheap on fleabay,

Other option ive got is replace the glass with a secondhand one around £30ish.

2 questions
Does anyone know if the d1 channel is the same as the d2? ive measured the distance between the 2 bolts that hold it on the regulator 475mm.

How does the complete window glass come out?

What part do you mean

I think I had sort of the same problem with the back door
I fabricated one from a piece of thin galvanised metal I found lying around
The original crumbled when I took the top of the for of to repaint it

The window lift channel, Dont wanna bodge it

It was the quarterlight channel, I replaced as it crumbled when I removed the window.

Still think you could fabricate one

Cheers bigee, I tried a fix this morning with gutter seal but seems that sealant is a semi non setting

Just tried it again with a grab adhesive if that dont work it looks like buying a new channel, Ive found on another forum that the d1 had 3 part numbers for the lift channel and they reckon the latest number fits the d2.

ALR8022

The d1 part #ALR8022 fits, ive just finished doing it and apart from it being fiddly wasnt too bad. I took some pics so may do a how to.
