Replacement radiator

I recently replaced my rad with something similar. I still had the original. The new one is not going to last any where near as long. If I was doing it again I would get the original reconditioned. The old one is a much more solid unit.

Cheers guys....i'll get in touch with a few local places and see what they say - the issue is that not only are most of the fins turning to dust, the pins that mount the radiator are knackered.

Only found on company local - quoted 250+vat for recoreing....

The ones off ebay only have to last 8 years each to make them more economical....

I fitted one from paddocks I think its the same as Mike's, one thing that threw me was the oil cooler connectors were different, I looked for adaptors and call paddocks about it, but in the end I just took the ones on the old rad cleaned them up and put them in the new one. The new aluminium rad did seem more flimsy than the old copper one, and was about 1/3 of the weight, but it works and does not leak. I think it was about £70.
