Hi Guys
The key fobs on both my keys are starting to break up, particularly around the lock/unlock buttons

I have found these LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 2 TD5 KEY FOB REMOTE CASE | eBay on ebay

Has anyone used these before?? Are they any good and are there any problems??

Seems to me that all I am replacing really is the plastic case so everything should be fine, but it would be good to hear some opinions

Thanks

provided your innards are OK, its a easy job, you can do the battery whilst your at it, the internal circuit board is only held by two clips. then your good to go for another four years....and now here is my tale of woe.

As for local stealerships....mine charged £98.00 for a new fob with uncut blade, then offed to have the new blade cut for £4.98. but informed me I would have to book it in to have the new fob coded to the car, but I would need to contact the service section to arrange this, as they were parts.

They did at least pass my call to the service section, and a really nice young lady told me the reprogram would take about 15 minutes and be £35, cool said I can I have it done this afternoon.....once the laughter died down I was informed the workshop was booked up for the next four weeks....

Upshot was bought a secondhand fob with a blank from fleebay and got the local lock smith to cut it from my original and a friend programed it for a pint with a nanocom.....all done for under £20 and steeler didn't get a sale, don't think they were too worried though

As you have the working code key internals...you should be fine.

Keys for disco are a minefield
