You'd be better off with Ford Escrote maybe ... but yes, you can remove a prop and have 2wd, so long as you leave the transfer box in diff-lock.

Personally, if I were going to do this I'd go the whole hog, remove the diff and half-shafts and blank the holes up ... but I'd keep it rear wheel drive 'cos I like rwd ...

... Well actually I wouldn't, I'd buy a pickup ...

... Well actually I wouldn't, 'cos I love Landrovers ... ;)

ive had an escort and it was ****e thats why i bought a land rover, i dint mean to offend anyone by tekin sayin about having 2wd only, it was just a question on if it was possible

cheers

So you had a 2wd, front wheel drive, found it was ****e and now want to make the Landrover front 2wd ... WHY ?!?!

You say it's a workhorse, well if you do any towing or carrying heavy loads you'll find 4wd or rwd will be a lot better than 2wd/fwd.

i dint think it would save fuel to be honest thats why i asked, i use my defender for my garedening business, i dont wna tek rear prop off it was just a question, and the escort wasnt ****e cos it was 2wd it was ****e because it was a ford
