This is one of those jobs that arose out of "project creep" but I ended up with the bits so thought I would use them.
The kit has been built up from various sources, some of the JIC fittings are eye wateringly expensive, but they assemble really nicely and do the job.
The old filter, I'm doing this on ramps

Removed that and fitted the take off block, used 1/2" npt to -10 JIC fittings

the hoses and remote filter head came in a kit (with a cooler for a later project) where possible ive removed the red but some has remained

The cable ties are temporary until my P clips arrive
I've used some exhaust wrap to protect the pipes near the manifold, and to avoid chaffing

The gauge pod is a bit "ebay special" but it does the job, I also ran an extra wire for a coolant temp gauge, this will be fitted at a later date, along with a low coolant warning LED, but I need to fit the VW header tank for that

All the readings look good and behave the same as other cars I've had with gauges in the past.
Will be nice to see if the filters position has any sort of cooling effect on the oil.
I've still to tidy the wires as the come around the battery and fuse box, but that will wait for now
