Hi,
I need some help please regarding my freelander 2, Year 2009, STD4, 2.2. When ever I accelerate, I get a warning of Reduced Engine Performance, then loose power. I need to restart each time for the car to run normally until I randomly get the same issue. I know I haven't change the fuel filter ever, car has a mileage of 150k which I will do. I am very far away from UK and all parts need to be imported taking 3 weeks, so would be grateful if someone can advised what need to be done or which parts need to be changed. I have run a diagnostic this morning as attached. Any help would be much appreciated please

Looks like we missed this post but i will answer it anyway.

Did you clear the codes then take it for a drive then check the codes again? Some of those codes may be old and not part of the current problem.

Blocked fuel filter can limit engine performance.

Does yer freelander 2 have a pdf diesel particulate filter fitted? If so look at the figures for the dpf with your diagnostic. Or take it for a drive and see if the fault clears if it regenerates

I have recently had the same issue. Hard acceleration or accelerating with the engine revs somewhere above 2500 put the car into limp mode with reduced engine performance on the dash. No error codes listed. Taking the car for a drive to clear out the dpf solved the problem.

The dpf was near full but hadn't completed a full regeneration cycle for some time. It had partially regenerated a number if times in a row. I had purposely allowed that to happen then stopped and switched off, in order to stop the regeneration process from completing. Reason being i wanted to see what would happen while monitoring it only partially completing multiple regenerations to see if i could keep that going untill i hit the mileage limit when a default regeneration occurrs.
