Following on from a previous Fault and Thread http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f10/im-lonely-lets-throw-fault-213774.html

A couple of weeks ago, I logged onto the Land Rover TOPIx system ( TOPIx - TOPIx ) after a discussion on here about the Coolant system on the L322....anywho, I only had an hours access so I trolled the Technical Bulletins and came across this one LM206-001V2 (attached below).

It indicates perfectly what my above fault is, as it only happens if the engine bay gets warm in stop/start traffic...and can be aleviated if I spray electrical contact cleaner into the connections and clean them up....

Thinking this is a Dealer only repair job, I phoned my local LR Dealer Parts Department this morning to enquire about if they supply the reapir kits listed to Joe Public....he says they do!

Asked for price:

Ground Wires Repair Kit £4 odd plus the VAT
Full ABS Harness Repair Kit £25 odd plus the VAT

So, considering this TB indicates perfectly my symptoms, and seems to make perfect sense, I am going to take a gander at the inside of my ABS Connector and see if I need to repair Ground wires only or splice in a complete new Harness....

Or do you reckon I may aswell just do the full Harness repair??

In either case, be prepared for another stunning How To !!

Saint, I cant remember but have you checked inside the ABS module for the smallest piece of corrosion?

I had the ABS etc light up once a while back and LR said "yeah, that's a new ABS module required - £1,000!"

On taking apart the ABS cover, a small piece of green corrosion was on one of the spike connectors (technical term!!) ; >)

quick brush with little toothbrush, spot of electrical connector spray and no probs since!

Did look previously, (check the link above) and didn't see anything untoward....so will give a good clean with brush and Electrical Cleaner over the weekend!

I think for the sake of £25+VAT I will no doubt just do the Technical Bulletin in anycase...that way if it still does it, Atleast I can discount that as a possible!
