Never mind. Just ordered one from Autosteer Direct. £149 and free delivery. They apparently re-chrome the shaft during refurbishment. Time will tell.

It’s always a mine field with refurbished, remanufactured parts, and then the suppliers, but if the warranty is good and hassle free when one is unlucky to make a claim etc it’s a good buy, but as mentioned above by meego a similar item can be obtained for less.
The only other way is new from LR or OEM parts supplier.

6yrs on and mine is still leak free, look in my build thread in the members vehicles forum for size an how I did it.
Just seen the re build thread that's interesting, I don't think I would have gone for the weld or metal spray solution i have seen shafts snap on load after that has been done. So the sleve works ok, I have used several of them on worn input shafts of compressors and they last a long time even when running 24 x 7 at 3000 rpm.
Just out of interest do you think the slightly smaller one would have fitted?
And where did you buy it from ?

and you wont find any serious rebuilders going for grinding and welding solution, speed sleeve is the way to go

That sleeve is very interesting. Stripping and rebuilding the box looks like a serious job though. Just watched it on YouTube and it involves spring balance settings etc. I have a couple of spare box's i can practice on though so might be worth a go.

you dont need to strip the box to fit the sleeve as long as you can clean up shaft

I lived in Belgium when I did that ;)

I took the shaft to my local SKF supplier and they OD'd the shaft and I took one that fitted, in hindsight I should have gone a fraction smaller, stuck shaft in freezer and warmed the sleeve in a pot of hot water, would have still used the lockseal to seal any gaps behind the sleeve though :)
