Hello all, am looking for a well-regarded independent in the triangle
formed by Yeovil, Bristol and Salisbury. Does anyone know of a decent
lot? I have a fat service coming up and a cambelt change and want to
know of someone who's willing to do it, and return a filled-in copy of
the Land Rover service schedule to me as well, for my records. Anyone
know of any good candidates?

I asked this before many moons ago but no answers, surely there must
be someone?

Cheers all!

I'd recommend Three Shires 4x4 at Swainswick on the A46 just north of
Bath.

I am looking for similar recommendation near to Central London, north of
Thames. I had to nip down last night to change a power steering pump on
Number 2 son's 90 (300 Tdi) to make sure he wasn't ripped off! Got back
around 2 a.m What a drag, 405 miles of lovely motorway, it would have been
nice to find someone to repair it to save me the bother.

Cheers, I've booked it into Range Motors in Poole (or is it
Bournemouth) for next week, slightly closer than Three Shires, and not
on the dreaded A46 which takes about a million hours to drive along
due to traffic!

I'll keep Three Shires on file and will try them out if I don't get
along with Range Motors (who are recommended by my local 4x4 club).

I'd support the recommendation of Three Shires, I have bought from them
and had my Disco serviced by them.

Cheers

Cheers, I'll give them a call tomorrow, Poole and Bath are over an
hour's drive from me so if your chaps can fit me in I might cancel the
appointment in Poole as Yeovil is only 30 mins away.

Cheers, they're on my list now, currently in third due to the distance
and the A46.

Pat's (Bickliegh's) is up opposite the entrence to the football club,
just down the road on your right through the big railing fence. Say
hallo to him from me.

I cancelled the Range Motors appointment and am booked into
Bickleigh's for Monday morning, they're an hour closer than Range.

I've still yet to find the hallowed landy dealer who has a 101FC for a
courtesy car though! If a dealer had that for a courtesy car, I'd
take it to them to get them to wash my windscreen...

I dunno, ask if you could borrow Terry's as it seams to spend most of
it's time there!

Cheers mush, good recommendation I reckon, my landy is much better
off, I'm £1,000 worse off but after a 24,000 mile service with a fair
few repairs, pulling brakes sorted and a cam belt change that's not
surprising.

Repair sheet is believable and they filled out my supplied landrover
schedule better than expected as well as supplying their own more
detailed sheets.

No courtesy car but they booked me a car from the hire company just
down the road which cost me £20 per day, a bit more than most charge
for a courtesy car but not so much as to make me whinge.

I'll certainly go back, it's nice to finally know of a nearby credible
independent.
