Rebuild help.

Has anyone a photo of the route of the earth cable from the seatbox, which hole does it exit and what bolts on g box and engine does it connect. A bit anal I know but I want to get it right. Cheers .

middle left hand side of t box to g box bolt -rear top crossmember bolt then the rear hole in seat box

Lovely, thanks James. I presume the middle tab should be soldered to the cable and not just crimped ? Mine can be twisted off.

they are both usually soldered from what i remember, as it needs to be good as main chassis earth like wise with box end as main engine etc earth

Mine is attached to the cable, but calling it soldered is offensive to those of us who can solder correctly. If your decent at soldering, you should be able to do a much better job than what’s on mine (presumably factory as the cable has gone hard and quite brittle).

Is yours a new cable?

Mines the old cable so I will "silver solder" it back on as I don't think ordinary lead free solder will hold. I wait to be corrected.
