Disco 2 Rear shocks, D2 with air and ACE

So I probably should have asked this question before fitting them but you live and (sometimes) learn I guess!

After refitting the rear air suspension I replaced the shocks, which were all knackered, with Terrafirma standard length shocks - front and rear.
The front is fine but the rear feels very harsh on road over small bumps. It's ok ish on woodland tracks (where its used for 90% of the time) but generally still harsh.

No issues with watts link or anything else I can see (with my limited knowledge) so after a but more digging I've noticed a few mentions of needing different shocks when you have air and ace....

So, has anyone fitted TF shocks with air&ace or have I been a doughnut and they're not compatible?

Do you have a lift?

Some people reported issues with standard TF shocks and air. The extended length is too short and the shocks are topping up (knocking noise).

Hi Michalis.
No, no lift. Just std length springs on the front and std air bags on the back.
I went for the std length shocks, should maybe have gone with the extended ones for the rear

some shocks have a criteria, some dont when buying, i have searched this but never seen any real write up to say there is a problem

Thanks, hopefully just a bit of paranoia on my part then. They "seem" ok at the moment
