The rear right passenger door will not open (from the inside). I took off the door panel. The hook, at the end of the cable between the handle and latch, that attached to the latch has come loose. The hook is medal and inserts into a hole in a plastic attachment, on the inside of the handle. I have been able to reinsert it but it will not stay in as I pull the handle. I tried gluing it into the plastic hole. Putting a press waster onto the end of the medal hook but couldn't get it on. Then putting some solder on the end of the hook. No joy. I don't think that buying an new cable is the answer as it look almost exactly the same as what I have.

Therefore I think the handle is the issue but it's riveted on the car. This is what I think I need. Are they available somewhere in the UK? How can I remove rivets from the car door to remove the old one?

Thank you. I'm trying to order one.

Is there a good youtube link on how to remove rivets and re rivets this handle.

Plus is there a trick for getting the panel back on with the hook for the latch. The one that fits into the top of the panel and hooks onto the latch so you can unlock the door from the inside.

I've failed to get it and the panel to fit on together.

Having replaced the latch assembly on one of the rear doors in the past, it is a bit of a faff, but if you take things steady it should go back together OK. The door card is sort of lowered over the lock pop-up and then the plastic fasteners are pushed back in place. I find that a good clout with the side of a fist does enough persuading. You'll probably need a plastic knife to get the little bit of rubber to ease up over the top of the door card.
This bloke has done a pretty good write-up on changing the rear side door latch and it covers all of your troubles too:-
