My car no longer has any parking sensors and I want it to stop giving the long continuous beep when I put it in reverse. Can I just rip the speaker out or do I need to try and re-programme an ECU ot something?

    Anyone ever done this?

I've not done it but surely you can just disconnect the speaker. You don't even need to rip it out.

Where is the unit/plug? I'll have a look behind the small grill near the LHS rear seat.

In the left hand side of the tailgate is a wee grill, it is in there.

Cheers for that. Now unplugged and silence prevails!

The danger now is you are now able to hear everything else that might go bang, crackle or pop.
