Rear light problems 300TDI

Hi,

Looking for some help from technically minded people. Have a 1995 300TDI ES and when i switch on the dipped headlights the rear lights go out as well as the fascia lights. Main beam works fine and all bulbs work.

All lights work when on side lights only.

Any ideas how to resolve would be much appreciated.

it may be the earth strap from body to chassis is not to good that would be my guess good luck

Thanks, sadly it was the stalk which cost a fortune to replace as airbag had to come out etc and they want £50 ro reset the SRS dashborard light!!! Living with the light on instead, but heh the lights work now.
