rear axle to chassis measurment

Hi could anyone with a standard disco do me a massive favour, I'm in need of a measurment on the rear axle, I need the measurment from the flat spot on the axle where the bump stop would hit to the underside of the chassis where the bumpstop mounts, I'm trying to work out what lift my disco has and from a standard measurment I can work it out, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I dunno that you want to take my measurements - my Disco leans to the driver's side... but for they're worth I've got about 5 1/4 inches on the right hand side (your driver's side I imagine, my passenger) and about 4 3/4" on the left. Given that the springs are brand new, you might guess recklessly that without the the overall tilt your standard Disco might measure 5" each side. But I'd also be interested to see what other people - whose Discos aren't leaning to one side like they've had one pint too many - come up with.

Disco 1 or Disco 2?

The only height information I can find so far is the overall height for the D1, which is quoted as 1928 mm (76 inches) to the roof with no roofbars, "standard" tyres at recommended pressures and no load.

The D2 has a different method of suspension; the height between the centre of a rear wheel and the edge of the rear wheel arch, which should be 500 mm +/- 15 mm (19.7 +/- 0.6 inch) on an unladen vehicle. The bump stop height from the top of the bump stop to axle bracket is quoted as 71.5 mm (2.8 inch) for coils and 61.5 (2.4 inch) for air springs.
