rear axle splines

hello gents;
can worn rear axle splines to the hub cause a whine or wooooooo noise?or they will just bang on full lock on reversing in a parking lot or what so ever?

No. You say to the hub they should not move at all they are held in place very tightly by a bloody great nut. Do you mean splines in diff. if so answer is still no. They may make a clunk if badly worn as you engage gear or move off but cannot whine. Bearings, crown wheels, pinions and women whine.

hello my friend;
which splines are fixed by applying loctite to them?the axle to the diff or the hub?the ones that they r a common manufacturing problem?defo there is a bang on full lock at reverse,and from N to R that has developped into a serious backlash when R is selected and heavy throttle applied to manover or drive in reverse from stand still position on a steep descent.
