Re Upgrade Td5

Did not get the full upgrade, ended up with air filter and chip for the time being.

Small problem. Better at high revs, 2500 upwards. Worse up to 2500. I did update initially for extra torque at low revs, so as it stands update has failed.

The company who fitted it says it is no problm and is posting me a different chip, they are trying their best for me.

Am I expecting too much to get engine to pull harder from low revs, from a standing start. I realize that Disco at 2 tons and a small 2.5 engine will have some problems. If the company gets me the rest of the upgrade kit, intercooler, silicone pipes and egr kit I expect that may solve my problem. Any one out there got any ideas.

Hi Phil,
I haven't had my ES done yet, but I have experienced a remapped ecu on a Series 2 td5 disco, the difference is amazing in terms of pulling power, with no hit on fuel consumption either when driven normally.

Hi Phil I Got My 2001 Td5's Ecu Remmaped The Increse In Pull Is Great It Flys Up Hills In 4th Could Change To 5th Where As It Had To Scream In 3rd Beforehand Also Better Fuel Economy Because I'm Not Revving The Guts Out Of It

I'm Not Sure Of The Company Name Their Based In Bridgend South Wales The Guy That Has The Company Was A Freind Of A Friend I Gave Him A Ring And He Came To An Agreeed Location And Did It There And Then Took About An Hour And A Half From Start To Finish.all He Did Was Take Out The Ecu Removed The Chip Downloaded The Original Data Onto His Pc Under My Reg Number Then Replaced It With The New Info
