My 2 fob button on 1998 Disco 1 takes ages to release immobilizer which means I have to sit there pressing the left button for a few minutes almost every time I drive it. Battery change made no difference and I am told its a common problem. I heard one solution was to get the ECU re programed to de activate the immobilizer altogether so just the keys work. Any ideas how I can get this done? Some people say you can disconnect the ECU and post it but I cannot find anyone that does it. I live in south Oxon and would be happy to drive vehicle to get someone to sort it.....
