Mine rattles too. Drivers side only, I assume because it's used more it has more wear.
I don't think that rubber strip does anything except fill in the U profile where the glass goes to make it look tidier. It certainly moves with the window glass.
I think the felt in the door channels is what stops the rattling.

Ill just let it rattle for now then, found a video on youtube changing the felt, looks simple enough, will change it when i get a chance.

I used a small rubber door stop when my drivers door sliding window rattled a lot lol
