Hello again
Hope everyone is safe and well ! I understand, posting a ''wanted to buy'' thread here is not permitted (no problem if it gets taken down) but will just give it a try as this forum is my last chance to find what I am looking for ! ;) This time around, I am on the market for quite a rare GENUINE Land Rover part in ''new old stock'' or slightly used but great condition. The part in question is the STC8937. It is the pair of heavy duty rear springs for the Disco 1. Let me know if you have anything available ! I can arrange shipping in order not to trouble the seller ! Looking forward to any offers ! I have also posted on the ''General discussion section''.

To be fair they do not have the best reputation, but in their defence I have quite a few britpart parts on my three land rovers, and on the whole they have been okay, never thought I would say that about good old sihtpart!

I understand ! I too have had experience with Britpart parts ! Some have come out ok but most are ''not great'' to put it mildly, hehe ! Thank you again for advising me to search for the 110 spring ratings ! I must admit it did not cross my mind !

Not sure iff 110 springs are a larger diameter, I was under one yesterday and they are certainly bigger than the ones on my 90?

Here in Greece there are few if none, main dealers unfortunately and those that exist are all not trustworthy and always try to fool the customer ! I have tried contacting dealers in the UK which are very cooperative and willing to assist but no luck yet !

I know exactly what you mean, so they are in Romania too, theyrs only interest is to sell new vehicles:mad: ... unless you have a friend there:cool:
 
Britpart are not a manufacturer/brand only a distributor, you can get genuine, OEM or replacement parts via them. The quality of the part is probably reflected in the price you decide you are willing to pay. The last list price for genuine STC8937 via Jaguar-Land Rover classic when they were available was £361.39 (pair) compared to £38 each for cheaper replacement.

Thanks for the info ! I shall contact them then and tell them i am interested in genuine parts.
 
Jaguar-Land rover Classic would be the people to contact ref. genuine but I doubt very much they will be able to supply any. They are no longer available and they won't recommission another batch as there isn't a call for them when after market are available. You will end up having to fit non-genuine replacement parts if you want new.

I would prefer new but used in great condition would do as well !
