Hi,

I've recently had a tow bar fitted to my 2003 Range Rover but used the wiring connector that was cable tied behind the bumper from a previous fitting. Perhaps not surprisingly it doesnt work. Tracing the wiring back it goes into a small rectangular black box under neath the boot (but inside the car) which I beleive is standard LR part. two wires have been disconnected but \i\ dont knowwhich goes whereand as the likelyhood is they are + and - the wrong way round could be catastrophic. Can anyone help with the wiring connection for this.

Thx
Chris

Are the control module (white box) and relay (shown in photo) fitted?

Did you have a 13pin or the old style twin or single sockets fitted?

I only have a single socket fitted I.e. trailer lights only and therfore do not need the extra relay boxes that come with the LR installation kit. (Black socket)

Mine was connected to the socket inside the boot where there is a socket ready for the simple harness. As far as I can remember the extra relays are used if power is proved for the fridge etc. via the grey socket. Diagram is the Rave CD

Good luck

The control module (white box in the photo) and relays are hidden behind the RH access hatch in the boot (diagram below). The control module is used with all the Land Rover wiring kits for the L322 as it locks the suspension height when the trailer is plugged in, cancels the rear PDC, etc.
