Hello, I have a problem with my drive if I put it in D it doesn't drive until I rev it up to about 3000 rpm then it bites in sharp and comes up with gearbox fault, it feels like it's stuck in third and it's really down on power. Reverse gear works fine. If I clear the fault put it in D wait a second or so and give a small amount of revs it will pull away but it's like the clutch is slipping, when it reaches about 10mph it engages and drives fine through all the gears and feels fine but as soon as I take it out of drive and put it back in its back to square one again.

Here are the readings I'm getting.

Fault 27
Output speed sensor, no signal. Fault NOT currently present and continuous.

I have replaced sensor and it still comes up?

Battery voltage

12.34 engine off
13.85 engine on
14..05 at the alternator

Transmission voltage

9.17 engine off
10.35 engine on

My scanner isthe Eyehawk total

Steven.

If you put it in "2" does it set off normally albeit a bit less quickly? If so, it's definitely sprag clutch.

Simple oil level check first, gearbox warmed thoroughly and shift through all the gears using the gear lever first and check while running, I hope it is as simple as that for you!!
What mileage is on it?
Has it done any heavy towing in it's lifetime?
;)

Thanks, oil levels are fine I'll check the gear lever. It's on 112000, as far as I know it's never really done much towing apart from a caravan from time to time.

At least your back on the road, would be interesting to crack the old box open to have a mooch inside. Did you replace the torque converter as well or keep your original?;)
