Hello,
So i bought my first ever RR 2005 TD6 this weekend, but it has some problems before i can take it on the road. It does drive but it doesn't accelerate as it should. It seems like there is no acceleration when i press the gas pedal. The rpm's rise but the car accelerates very slowly, it does however goes weel until 40-50 kilometers an hour and then it takes forever to reach let's say 100-120 kmh. I do noticed that it is not always there, when i bought the car it had it right away when i drove home so i stopped turned the engine off and when i drove off again the car drove normal for the rest of the trip. But in most cases it doesn't accelerate as it should. The i also noticed that when i stopped at a traffic light the car starts shaking when it is still in D(rive). In neutral is is better but still, slightly there.
Any suggestions what it could be? Torque converter? Wiring loom of the injectors? Electric HPFP?
If it is the torque converter i may do a gearbox flush myself before considering replacing it. The gearbox itself seems to be ok, it goes trough all gears (as far as the instrument cluster is correct) and i don't notice hard shifting.
I am planing to do everything myself, it is my project for the summer and i bought it cheap.
