Hi I'm Gav a Range Rover L322 owner

I was driving along fine all gear changes fine stopped at junction on roundabout went to pull off car revved with no drive. I switched off and on a few times managed to move enough to get over roundabout. Rolled it in to a car park and got recovered got home plugged in the Snap On Solus Ultra no codes on engine or gearbox but 3 in transfer box. These are as follows

0x5212 battery under voltage

0x52ED instr 2 lost from can

0x52F2 instr 3 lost from can

If I leave it a bit it will go in drive then after yards lose drive and all other gears

Anyone help please as I don't want to chase my tail and spend money I don't need to.

range rovers are all about spending money! Where's the screaming hair pulling emoji face thing!!
there are some real wizards on here buddy, there'll be one along in a bus soon! Good luck! Do you have and history on the box, I.e. Oil and filter changes? There is a long list of things to verify on the l322 before any decisions should be made about spending any money!

AFAIK transfer box electrics are just the hi lo actuator.

Maybe not fully engaging.

PowerfulUK have a vid on youtube about removing it and bench testing it.

That being said it looks like transfer box;)

Had same issue myself after disturbing a 'sleeping' hi lo......

Sh@t my pants, did a google, whipped off the actuator, stripped it, 10 seconds of stunned WTF moment as the planet gears fell across the floor, cleaned commutator, checked brushes, did a bench power up, re timed it for re entry, all worked ticketyboo.

Don't neglect switch, remove console and clean Coca Cola/Red Bull from the gubbins with contact cleaner.
