Hi,

I'm looking for some help with my 2003 RR L322. When I try and fill it up with fuel it won't run in the tank, the fuel see,s to back up and knocks off the pump as if it's full.

I think the breather could be blocked but I'm stumped where to look....

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.

Jeremy

Maybe you are putting fuel in to quickly and it is lifting the roll over valve. Try lifting the pump nozzle out of the tank a little.

I assume the 'Fuel Sniffer' hasn't been triggered..!!

this was a little valve fitted to Diesel fillers to prevent the wrong pump nozzle from being used...usually reset using a yellow key IIRC....

I have had similar issues and Wammers advise is sound!

EDIT: Early L322's didn't have one fitted.....

Hello all.

Thanks for the advice but unfortunately I've tried it every which way, fully in, half in, nearly out...

The only way to fill it up is to very slightly press the trigger. Then I ned about 30 minutes to fill the tank.....

Any other ideas?

Thanks again all!

Assuming that you've bought the car second hand, it hasn't been fitted with some anti-syphon device by any chance? Try feeding a garden hose pipe down the filler and see if there's an obstruction.
