Hi,

since yesterday my driverside electric window is jamming about 10mm from the top. while still pressing the window switch, a clicking sound can be heard as if somethings in jamming the mechanism.

Can anyone help with this matter?

Thanks

Window regulator failed, it's a common problem. Easy to replace. Remove door card, you will need a drill to drill out the rivets and some small nuts & bolts M5 will do or use bolts and nutserts. Takes about an hour first time. Get the part of Ebay or direct from Parts Spares & Accessories for Triumph MG Rover Land Rover Discovery Freelander Defender Range Rover & Rover SD1 part number CVF100740P £63.62 inc VAT.

For more info, do a search on this site or download RAVE.

SORRY, IGNORE THAT INFO, JUST SEEN IT'S A CLASSIC NOT A P38.

you dont need anything more than a socket set to remove the window regulator, and a screwdriver to take the door card off.take the card off first and look at the teeth on the regulator, should be a few missing or worn. ebay has them for around a tenner.if you get stuck let me know, i have a regulator, and a motor should it be that
