Hello there, I am new to this forum, i bought a 2012 range rover Westminster TDV8 2 years ago with 4 year extended RAC warranty(the warranty cost me £1500), recently had engine noise then send to RR london for inspection. it was identified the number 6 cylinder crankshaft bearing shell failed, so the Warranty company send an engineer to assess, and conclude the failure was simply the bearing reached its serviceable life, which means it is ware and tear and exclude from cover. but the rest of 7 bearings are all fine. the mechanic at RR london who was not agreed with the conclusion, they thinks it obviously the manufactory defect as the vehicle is only 4 year old with full service history even it has covered 100k miles. so does here any one can suggest what the bearing's life cycle is? if it reach the end of life why not just one, the others are all fine. does any one who knows a good mechanic to inspect the faults and produce me a report, i need to it to support me to contest the warranty company who is trying to get away from this. best regards, Huan

Warrantee companies are dodgy anyway

When all the others are fine, it is defective.

I hope you get some good advice here
