also was wondering what the little knob next to the gear knob is? its above the high/low knob but is not marked up... possibly for diff lock but has pipes coming from it havent followed them yet just thought id ask on here....

i was thinking the same, but when iv looked at standard 3 door pics it looks about right... someone has put a lot of time and money into this and just lost interest..... did i mention its got a brand new lift kit on it! :)

Had a bit of browse around on google and seems this littlt knob is for the diff lock... must be similar to the series set up. o and another bonus is the rangie has discs on the back and all the brakes look fairley new! :)
were debaiting which route to go down on colour... any suggestions... lime green is on the list and we would like black but feel there is too many imperfections on the body and would make the car look a lot worse then what it is......

hi thanks for the words of confidence! good news is my friend had it running and driving last night took through the woods he said the gearbox is a bit noisy so im going to sort a new one today hopefully in work... as its only got 4 speed ill try and sort a 5 speed off a 200 which iv been told fits??

the same blued on the mg/rover25 looks good on a landy... dads got a lightwieght in that colour looks awesome... good luck with the build..make sure we get pics when its done

im sure the difflock on that is the little black round thing, its vacuum operated you can hear something underneath when you turn it on.. You want a 4 speed auto box for it not a manual :)
