Random Engine hoses

Hi all,
Loving the new disco and the ease on which I can use what little car maintenance experience I have on it. i have come up against a couple of blockers at the moment,

1997 R reg V8(the only way to motor)

Can any one advise,
A. prior to purchasing my disco some one has cut a hose in the engine bay. the open end is just above the washer tanks and runs along the top of the engine bulk head and then goes through the bulk head near the steering rod. can any one shed some light on what this might be

B. The passenger side sun roof drain hose seams to be blocked, can any one advise as to the location of the outlet for this pipe as i can find a definitive answer on any of the forums.

A. sounds like the headlight washer jet pipe has been disconnected.
B. inside the A pillar.

The hose sounds like the cruise control vac hose after it's popped through the bulkhead it will go to the brake light switch.

By the washer bottle there should be a 3 way connector... one outlet to the brake switch, one to the throttal diaphram, the other to the pump thats hidden below the jack.

Sort the the sunroof seals out and you won't need drain hoses.
