Can't hurt, seeing as how it ought to be soft and have nothing else much in it.

If in doubt, use the ice that forms inside your freezer. That should be the equivalent of distilled water. Or almost. But then actually it is the anti-freeze that you stick in it which is the most important and the quantity you use.
 
I boil water in the kettle a couple of times and use that. The minerals in the water stick to the inside of the kettle (furring up), thus I am using demineralised water.
 
I have a de humidifier in the house, spits out loads of condensate each day, should be pretty much like distilled water perhaps the air may contaminate it a bit though.
 
Filled me rads straight out of the tap (+coolant) in all my vehicles since I started driving, thought distilled water was just for batteries.

But then we do have soft water down here in the 'proper' south west :)
